Job Description

As an experienced Software Engineer responsible to help lead a team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve business initiatives. Looking for candidates knowledgeable of design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming helping the team raise their game, meeting high standards, as well as, satisfying both business and functional requirements. Needing expertise in various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally. Qualifications: This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

·         8+ years’ experience in building out enterprise level applications
·         Must have strong hands-on development experience on the following:
·         Scala
·         Spark
·         Hadoop
·         Akka
·         Kafka
·         Java
·         Strong understanding of internals of Spark and Hadoop e.g. DataFrame, DAG, data partition and distribution, named node limitations and tuning
·         Strong understanding of MapReduce concepts
·         Familiarity with Impala a plus
·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related engineering field)
·         Strong work ethic and dedication
·         An aptitude and interest in technology
·         Highly motivated and interested in following up on technical issues and understanding the functional and technical impact of any change
